General Programming

DSW’s programming model facilitates dancemaking from ideation to presentation. Each program focuses on a different aspect of the creative process while generating synergetic flow between aspects.

Our Programs

  • Research Lab

    The Research Lab is dedicated to helping dance artists design a dance project. Participating artists receive support to create a project proposal, support materials, and a budget/timeline which may help guide their creative endeavours and facilitate applications for other opportunities, like residencies, presentations, and funding.

  • Creative Residency

    The Creative Residency provides participating artists with access to rehearsal space so they can freely explore movement ideas with or without the option to present their work.

  • Quick + Dirty

    The Quick+Dirty is an annual showcase featuring artists who participate in DSW programs.
